Extended Reality (XR)
Extended Reality (XR) is an umbrella term that encompasses immersive technologies that blend the physical and digital worlds. It includes Virtual Reality (VR), which creates a fully immersive digital environment; Augmented Reality (AR), which overlays digital information onto the real world; and Mixed Reality (MR), which combines elements of both VR and AR to allow digital and physical objects to interact in real time. XR technologies aim to enhance user experiences by providing interactive and engaging simulations or augmentations of reality, and they are used in various applications, including gaming, training, education, entertainment, and more. The term reflects the continuum of experiences from completely virtual environments to enhanced real-world scenarios.
